August 2nd Regional Round-up
Crowdown Throwdown packs ' em in -MMA Comes to Coshocton, Ohio
Wilmington (North Carolina) reaps benefit of MMA return Doug Muhle's Carolina Fight Promotions has found a niche with their shows in Wilmington, NC with Muhle doing brisk business with a summer schedule that sees him hit Wilmington often. Muhle mentions that he will do a Carolina Crown 2 show, coming up in October in Raleigh at the RBC. The first show did around 4000 by most estimates but he was hoping to do around 6k.
Brockton (Mass) fighters shine in Battle Under the Stars - The most notable item in the piece is local streetfighter Steve Dunn making his MMA debut. Good to see the Kimbo Slice route never gets old. Heavyweight Lee Beane may be a name to follow from this card.
